ILOILO City – An SM City employee was accused of slapping a mall housekeeper.

The 23-year-old Dona Rose Cordero was arrested and detained at the Mandurriao police station.

Jene Jean Ermeje, 30, told the police Cordero struck her in a comfort room on the third floor of the mall at around 1 p.m. on Dec. 19.

This was after the housekeeper working for RKJ General Services asked Cordero what her name was upon seeing her use the toilet for persons with disabilities, a police report showed.

Ermeje “felt humiliated and degraded,” the police report stated./PN
