ILOILO City – Both drunk, two construction workers had a heated argument that ended with one stabbing the other.
Around 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday in Barangay San Isidro, La Paz district, Alvin Saprano, 27, of Barangay Bubog, Sibunag, Guimaras sustained a stab wound on the chest.
He was taken to the West Visayas State University Medical Center.
The suspect was Saprano’s fellow Guimarasnon, Reymil Cañete, 27, of Barangay Alegria, Sibunag.
Prior to the stabbing, the two were binge drinking with other construction workers.
Cañete fled after stabbing Saprano.
Policemen caught him at the wharf in Barangay Ortiz, City Proper around 1 a. m. on Thursday./PN
