BACOLOD City – Six people allegedly engaged in illegal gambling were arrested in Barangay Poblacion, San Enrique, Negros Occidental.
Police said the following were caught playing cara y cruz on Wednesday: Joan Pedrosa, 38; Joselito Sato, 25; Julbert Singuillo, 30; Alfredo Valeña Jr., 30; Nilo Mamon, 57; and Roy Puertillano, 65.
All residents of San Enrique, they were facing charges for violation of Presidential Decree No. 1602, the municipal police said.
Bet money worth P2,690 were seized from them.
The San Enrique police took them in custody./PN
