BACOLOD City – The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) has seized a total of P1,017,184 worth of illegal drugs since the Philippine National Police resumed its antidrug campaign on Dec. 23 last year.
The BCPO was able to file 148 cases against drug suspects during the period.
Data from the BCPO showed that a total of 75.43 grams ofshabu and 40.71 grams of marijuana with a street value of P755,804 were recovered between Dec. 23, 2017 and Jan. 31, 2018.
Moreover, the BCPO seized a total of 26.13 grams of shabu worth P261,380 from Feb. 1 to 6.
From Dec. 23 last year to Feb. 6 this year, the BCPO conducted 54 drug operations, leading to the arrest of 90 drug personalities.
BCPO head Senior Superintendent Francisco Ebreo said in a statement that they are asking for the full support and cooperation of communities as they continue the war on illegal drugs.
On the other hand, officers from various police stations under the BCPO have visited 63 houses and revisited 100 others since Jan. 29 as part of the “Oplan Double Barrel Reloaded.”
There were 41 newly identified drug personalities who turned themselves in to the police as of Feb. 6.
There were also 32 street-level drug targets and a high-value target who surrendered to the BCPO. (PNA/PN)
