ILOILO City – A motorcycle shop worker allegedly threatened a workmate in Barangay Poblacion, Molo district.

Mario Iguidez, 39, of Barangay North Fundidor, Molo reported to the police that he and Ryan Cuambot had a “misunderstanding” over “gossip and work-related jealousy.”

Iguidez said he was fixing his tools at around 8 p.m. on Feb. 9 when Cuambot challenged him to a fistfight.

A police trainee passing by saw them and intervened, a police report showed.

That was when Cuambot told Iguidez, “Balikan ta kamo, matawag ko backup,” the report stated.

Cuambot cannot be reached for comment as of this writing.

Police referred the incident to the barangay lupon./PN
