BACOLOD City – He got killed after resisting arrest, police said.
Three officers from the Regional Mobile Group were about to serve the 35-year-old murder suspect Emerson Antipaso Jr. an arrest warrant around 12 p.m. on Thursday in Barangay Manlucahoc, Sipalay City, Negros Occidental.
But Antipaso tried to evade arrest by shooting the officers using an improvised 12-gauge shotgun, a police report showed.
Police Officer 3 Joy Pabera, Police Officer 2 Armando Louis Arsenal and Police Officer 1 Cyril Banacon fired back.
The police officers were hurt while Antipaso died of gunshot wounds on the different parts of the body.
Recovered from the crime scene was the gun that Antipaso used loaded with 13 live bullets./PN
