ILOILO City – Accused of cattle rustling, a woman and her son were arrested in Barangay Janipa-an West, Mina, Iloilo.
Lourdes Begil and son Rex, residents of the same village, were accused of stealing a cow of relative Merly Cantalopes on Sunday, a police report showed.
Officers arrested the mother and son at around 11 a.m. on Tuesday.
Begil and her son admitted to stealing the cow and selling it to a meat vendor in Janiuay for P7,000, stated the police report.
Detained at the Mina police station, they face charges for violation of Presidential Decree 533, or the Anti-Cattle Rustling Law of 1974./PN
