BACOLOD City – Al Moreno Bangoy was oblivious to an open main electrical line above his head while installing the roofing of a house in Barangay Libacao, Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental.
When his nape touched the wire, the 28-year-old laborer got electrocuted, a police report showed.
Bangoy – a resident of Barangay Libacao, Himamaylan City – was taken to the Gov. Valeriano M. Gatuslao Memorial District Hospital but Dr. Cecelia Amante pronounced him “dead on arrival.”
The incident happened at around 3 p.m. Wednesday, according to Chief Inspector Antonio Benitez Jr., Himamaylan police head.
The main electrical line was that of the Negros Occidental Electric Cooperative, or Noceco, police said./PN
