ILOILO City – A 58-year-old woman and her son were wounded when a car crashed against a store on Sunday.
Adelyde Diamante, 58, and son Norberto, 35 of Barangay Jibolo, Janiuay, Iloilo were confined in the Janiuay District Hospital.
They were eating inside a store in Barangay Aquino Nobleza West at 10 a.m. when the accident occurred, police said.
The elder Diamante sustained a broken right foot while the younger victim was wounded on the left foot and chest.
The car, a Toyota Avanza, was driven by Alma Gaje, 42, of Badiangan town.
The driver was not hurt. She was arrested and detained at the Janiuay police station.
Gaje was heading toward Mina when she lost control of the car as she tried to avoid hitting a motorcycle that overtook her, investigation showed./PN
