SAN JOSE, Antique – A man survived an attempt on his life after being shot by unidentified assailants in Barangay La Paz, Hamtic, Antique.
Two motorcycle-riding men tried to kill the 35-year-old Danillo Fabillo around 8 a.m. last Sunday, a police report showed.
Police investigators said Fabillo – resident of Barangay Ingwan-Batangan, Hamtic – was with his mother at public market to buy something when the suspects, wearing jackets, bonnets and a mask, attacked him. The gunmen then immediately fled.
Fabillo sustained two gunshot wounds on the body and was brought to the Angel Salazar Memorial General Hospital in San Jose. He already received medical treatment.
Officers of the municipal police station found two fired cartridges of a .45-caliber revolver from the crime scene.
They have yet to identify the suspects and the motive in the incident.
Fabillo had been arrested for murder and frustrated murder last 2015. He was convicted for Direct Assault in 2016./PN
