BACOLOD City — The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) conducted its 2026 firearms inspection to verify the accountability, condition and proper documentation of firearms issued to its personnel.
The inspection was presided over by Police Colonel Criscente C. Tiguelo, officer-in-charge of the Regional Logistics and Resource Development Division of the Police Regional Office–Negros Island Region (PRO-NIR).
The activity focused on ensuring that all government-issued firearms entrusted to police personnel are properly accounted for, maintained, secured and handled in accordance with established Philippine National Police policies and procedures, the BCPO said.
During the inspection, authorities checked the condition and accountability of issued firearms and related equipment, as well as their corresponding records and documentation.
The activity also reinforced the responsibility of police personnel to exercise proper care in the handling and safekeeping of government-issued firearms, particularly given their role in maintaining public safety and carrying out police operations.
The BCPO said the inspection forms part of its efforts to strengthen accountability, discipline, resource management and operational readiness among its personnel.
The office, under the leadership of City Director Colonel Eugene N. Rebadomia, said it remains committed to ensuring that its personnel and issued equipment are properly prepared and accounted for in the performance of their duties.
