ILOILO City – A man was arrested at a checkpoint in Barangay Angub, Cuartero, Capiz.
He was 18-year-old Jarred Poyo of Barangay Indayagan, Cuartero, a police report showed.
An improvised firearm was recovered from Poyo when police manning a checkpoint frisked him around 4:20 a.m. on Aug. 5, the report added.
Poyo was detained in the Cuartero police station’s lockup facility, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act./PN
