‘Shabu’ worth P300K seized in drug sting

BACOLOD City – Six sachets of suspected shabu valued at around P300,000 were seized in a drug sting in Barangay Banago.   

The 45-year-old resident Ramie Rivera, Marites Triumpa and their companion who police only identified as Barok yielded the suspected illegal drugs on Oct. 10, a police report showed. 

Triumpa and Barok evaded arrest, the report added.        

Aside from suspected shabu, a P500 marked money was also recovered from the suspects, police said.

Police conducted a manhunt operation against Triumpa and Barok as of this writing.     

Rivera, meanwhile, was detained in the lockup cell of Police Station 3, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
