ILOILO City – Jeric Gonzales and Klea Pineda, the lead stars of GMA Afternoon Prime’s series “Magka-agaw”, admitted that they have become each other’s inspiration while working together.
“Yun ‘yung maganda sa aming dalawa, ginagawa naming inspirasyon ang isa’t isa and sinusuportahan namin yung isa’t isa lalo na kapag heavy scenes,” Klea told local reporters during their recent Kapuso Mall Show in Iloilo.
“Andyan ako to support him and ganun din sya sa akin. ‘Yan naman ang importante pag nag wo-work kayo together, nag-gi-give and take,” she added.
On the other hand, Jeric described Klea as a “girl on fire” with overflowing dreams and full of passion and determination. “Sobra akong natutuwa kasi nadadala niya ako at that part. Parang I need that fire para lalo akong ganahan at galingan pa,” said Jeric.
Klea, on her part, disclosed that Jeric is her ideal man. “Jeric is very respectful – gentleman– and nakikita ko na sobrang love niya yung family niya. God fearing siya. Ang laking bagay kasi sa akin kapag sobra mong vina-value and sobrang love mo yung family mo–big factor sa akin yun pagdating sa guy,” said Klea.
This writer asked if there is any chance for them to be a real couple, Klea answered, “Baby steps…hindi naman naming kailangan i-rush ang mga bagay. Possible lahat ng bagay.” She also playfully said it depends on Jeric.
Since both of them are products of reality TV shows, they gave tips and advice to aspiring artists. Klea acknowledged that she started from nothing and even experienced rejections before she became the “Ultimate Female Survivor” in the sixth season of the original reality-based artista search “StartStruck.” However, it did not hinder her from pursuing her dreams. She took those “rejections” to come out strong. Thus, she said, one should not lost hope.
“Dahil sa rejections na ‘yon naging strong ako, mas na-reliaze ko na mas gusto ko ‘tong ginagawa ko, mas gusto kong maabot ang pangarap ko, goals ko sa buhay and hindi natatapos ang buhay kapag nakakuha ka ng isang rejection. Isa ‘yon sa way ni God para maging strong ka and malaman mo yung value sa’yo ng dreams mo,” said Klea.
Meanwhile, Jeric is the winner of the all-original talent search “Protégé” and prior to that he has also no exposure. A nursing graduate, he said he only has background on singing which became his strength in the reality show. “Since ginusto ko rin – talagang pinag-aralan ko lahat kahit hindi ako marunong umarti…maraming comments na hindi magaganda. But still ang advice ko lang, tanungin mo ang sarili mo kung gusto mo talaga kasi masyado mahirap na business to and career so kung gusto mo siya talagang paghirapan. Strong ko dapat,” he said./PN
