ILOILO City – A businessman was shot to death in Barangay Lico-an, Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo.
The 60-year-old resident Efren Hechanova died of gunshot wounds on the head, a police report showed.
The suspect was identified as 53-year-old Ernie Bragancia, also a resident of the village.
According to police investigators, Hechanova was collecting debts at a store when Bragancia peppered him with bullets around 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Police believed that personal grudge could be the motive in the killing.
Recovered from the crime scene were six
empty shells of a .45-caliber pistol.
