ILOILO City – Colegio de Sta. Ana de Victorias Titans reached the semifinals of the 24th University Games men’s basketball after notching its third win on Wednesday at the University of San Agustin Gym.
Jeff Manday waxed hot with 25 points as the Titans walloped Technological University of the Philippines, 93-68, for its third consecutive win in as many games.
The lopsided win was a fitting follow up to Titans’ 48-46 escape over the University of Perpetual Help System Dalta-Altas Laguna on Tuesday evening.
In women’s volleyball, Imee Hernandez and Rachelle Roldan spearheaded the offense as defending champions University of Santo Tomas Golden Tigresses defeated Arellano University Chiefs, 25-7, 21-25, 25-13, 25-19.
College of St. Benilde Lady Blazers netted its third straight win after a 25-18, 25-17, 23-25, 25-18 victory over the University of the East Lady Warriors.
National University Lady Bulldogs also stretched its winning run to three games with a 25-9, 25-13, 25-13 demolition over the Ateneo de Davao University./PN
