Creamline disposes Motolite, sweeps Premier V-League elims

MANILA – Creamline Cool Smashers barged to the semifinal round of the 2019 PVL Open Conference undefeated after a 25-19, 25-22, 24-26, 25-16 win over Motolite Power Builders at the San Juan Arena.

Jessica Galanza tallied 23 points built on 20 attacks and three service aces while lacing her offensive output with 21 excellent receptions.

Michelle Gumabao added 14 markers and 23 excellent digs.


The defending champions Cool Smashers finished the elimination round with unblemished 16-0 slate on Wednesday night even with the absence of Alyssa Valdez and Julia Morado in their last few matches.

“Hindi nagbago ‘yung confidence namin, talagang ‘yung happiness namin sa loob ng court tuloy tuloy pa rin naman,” said the former Adamson University Lady Falcons standout Galanza.


Myla Pablo finished with 14 points while Diana Carlos and Aie Gannaban chimed in 11 and 10 markers, respectively, as the Power Builders ended the preliminaries with a 10-6 card.


Meanwhile, Philippines Air Force Lady Jet Spikers pounced on the absence of Guimarasnon Jovelyn Gonzaga as they slammed PacificTown-Army Lady Troopers, 28-26, 25-20, 26-28, 26-24.


Aklanon Dell Palomata and Judy Anne Caballejo submitted 15 points apiece, all coming from attacks, as the Lady Jet Spikers ended its campaign with 7-9 slate. Lady Troopers finished with 6-10./PN
