ILOILO City – A pedicab driver was stabbed to death by a fellow driver in Barangay South Fundidor, Molo district.
The 53-year-old Melvin Caserial died of multiple stab wounds on the body, police said.
Police tagged 41-year-old Alan Jimena as suspect.
According to police investigation, Caserial and Jimena were having a drinking session around 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. The stabbing happened after the two drivers got drunk and a heated argument ensued between them, police said.
Caserial was rushed to the Medical City in Molo district but was later declared dead.
Jimena, meanwhile, was detained in the lockup cell of the Molo police station, facing charges./PN
