ILOILO City – A 53-year-old drug surrenderer was shot to death by unidentified gunmen inside his house in Barangay Burgos, La Paz district.
Killed was Angelito Yee, a resident of the village. He sustained multiple gunshot wounds on the body, police said.
According to police investigation, Yee’s neighbor heard gunfire around 1 a.m. on Nov. 15 before cops discovered the victim’s lifeless body.
Recovered from the crime scene were two sachets of suspected shabu, drug paraphernalia and 11 empty shells of a .45-caliber pistol.
The victim turned himself in to the police as a drug user in 2017 and underwent rehabilitation.
Officers of the La Paz police station have yet to identify the suspects as of this writing./PN
