Bolivia – At least five people were reportedly killed in clashes between supporters of former president Evo Morales and the security forces here.

A doctor in the central city of Sacaba said most of those killed and injured on Friday sustained bullet wounds, according to the Associated News agency.

The country’s authorities did not report any deaths in the city.

Riot police on Friday also fired tear gas to disperse protesters in La Paz, the country’s administrative center.

Morales resigned last Sunday amid protests following the presidential election. He has since fled to Mexico.(BBC)
