BACOLOD City – For possessing an unlicensed gun, a man was nabbed in Barangay Canturay, Sipalay City, Negros Occidental.
A .357-caliber revolver with five live bullets was seized from 21-year-old Rogie Mosqueda of Barangay San Jose, Sipalay City, a police report showed.
Mosqueda was walking when police chanced upon him carrying a firearm around 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
He failed to show pertinent papers showing his legal ownership of the weapon, the report added.
The suspect was detained in the custodial facility of the Sipalay City police station, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act./PN
