ILOILO City – A drinking spree led to stabbing in Barangay Napnapan Norte, Tigbauan, Iloilo.
The 38-year-old farmer Lodigario Fajardo was rushed to the Western Visayas Medical Center in Mandurriao district due to stab wounds he sustained after the Jan. 10 incident.
Rogie Rivas, 56, was tagged suspect.
According to the police, Fajardo and Rivas – both residents of Barangay Napnapan – were having a drinking spree around 9:45 p.m. when an altercation ensued between them.
This prompted Rivas to stab Fajardo using a bladed weapon, police said.
The suspect was detained in the lockup cell of the Tigbauan police station, facing charges./PN
