Farmer stabbed to death

BACOLOD City – A farmer was stabbed to death by his two younger brothers in Barangay Prosperidad, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.

Police identified the fatality as 56-year-old Estelito Saylo-on Jr., a resident of the village.
Estilito’s younger brothers Daniel, 50, and Rubin,38, were tagged suspects, a police report showed.

According to police investigators, Estilito was on his way home when his brothers attacked him using bladed weapons around 4 p.m. on Feb. 4.

Estilito was rushed to the San Carlos City Hospital where the attending physician declared him “dead on arrival.”

It was however not immediately established what was the motive in the incident was.

Officers of the San Carlos City police station conducted a manhunt operation against the suspects, who fled after the incident./PN
