BACOLOD City – The motorcycle they were riding crashed against a cargo truck in Barangay Minapasok, Calatrava, Negros Occidental.
The 33-year-old resident Pedro Pesanon and 34-year-old resident Junryl Yangyang died of head and body injuries, a police report showed.
The incident happened around 7:45 p.m. on Feb.4.
According to police investigation, Pesanon and Yangyang overtook a motorcycle but hit the truck in the opposite lane driven by 39-year-old Ariel Paner of Barangay Marcelo, Calatrava.
They were rushed to the Calatrava District Hospital where the attending physician declared them “dead on arrival.”
Paner, meanwhile, turned himself to authorities. He was detained in the custodial facility of the Calatrava municipal police station./PN
