BACOLOD City – A former village councilman was shot to death by two motorcycle-riding suspects in Barangay Poblacion 1, Sagay City, Negros Occidental.
Jesus Suico of Barangay Vito, Sagay City died of gunshot wounds on the head and body, police said.
According to police investigators, Suico and his grandson were riding a multicab on their way to a restaurant when one of the suspects fired at the victim multiple times around 4:45 p.m. on Feb. 18.
Suico was rushed to the Lopez District Farmers Hospital in Sagay City where the attending physician declared “him dead on arrival.”
Officers of the Sagay City Police station were still looking into illegal drugs as the possible motive in the killing.
