ILOILO City – Six persons were arrested for illegal cockfighting in Barangay Gines Nuevo, San Enrique, Iloilo.
Police identified them as Redgel Pabiona, 31; Rodolfo Roy Serafico, 23; Bernardo Paches, 42; Rufillo Palowa, 30; Justine Querubin, 18; John Rey Roquio, 21; and Romel Devecais, 38.
Police confiscated three game fowls and P4,703 bet money from them on March 1.
The suspects were detained in the municipal police station, facing charges for violation of Presidential Decree 449, or the Cockfighting Law of 1974./PN
