ROXAS City – Four sachets of suspected shabu valued at around P4,000 were seized in a buy-bust operation in Barangay 2.
The 38-year-old Elmer Durana of Barangay Banica yielded the suspected illegal drugs, Roxas City police station spokesperson Master Sergeant Ramil Arcangeles said.
The city police drug enforcement unit staged the entrapment operation which led to the arrest of Durana around 4 p.m. on March 20.
“He was already arrested for illegal drug possession in 2006 and was released from prison in 2011 after his case was dismissed,” Arcangeles told Panay News.
Aside from suspected shabu, a P500 marked money and a cellphone were also recovered from him, police said.
Durana was detained in the lockup cell of the Roxas City police station, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
