ILOILO City – A drug surrenderer was arrested for shooting a man in Barangay Poblacion, Dingle, Iloilo.
Police identified him as 50-year-old Ben Bedrijo of Barangay Tinocuan, Dingle.
Bedrijo shot Reymart Lopez, 21, of Barangay Namatay, Dingle, after a heated argument ensued between them around 6:45 p.m. on June 24.
It was, however, not immediately established what triggered the altercation.
Recovered from the crime scene were four empty shells and two unfired bullets of a.45- caliber pistol.
Lopez was brought to the Iloilo Provincial Hospital in Pototan town for medical treatment.
The suspect, on the other hand, was detained in the lockup cell of the Dingle police station, facing charges./PN
