ILOILO City – In Barangay Ayong, Cabatuan, Iloilo, a man was allegedly stabbed to death by his brother.
Killed was 38-year-old resident Mark Aries Escuadro. He sustained stabbed wounds on the body, a police report showed.
Tagged suspect was his younger brother John, 36.
According to police investigators, Mark Aries and John were having a drinking binge at the house of Armando Attieda when a heated argument ensued between the suspect and the victim around 9:45 p.m. on June 28.
This prompted John to stab Mark Aries using a bladed weapon.
Mark Aries was rushed to the Ramon Tabiana Memorial District Hospital in the town where the attending physician declared him “dead on arrival.”
The suspect was detained in the lockup cell of the Cabatuan municipal police station, facing charges./PN
