
BACOLOD City – Four persons were caught engaging in illegal gambling in Barangay Vito, Sagay City, Negros Occidental.
They were residents Bobby Layao, 36; Jonel Jimenez, 29; Jofer Mag-alasin, 27; and Kendave Nichor, 19, police said.
Police officers chanced upon them playing pusoy around 4:10 p.m. on Aug. 22.
Recovered from their possession were a deck of playing cards and P310 bet money.
Detained in the lockup facility of the Sagay City police station, the suspects face charges for violation of Presidential Decree 1602, which prescribes stiffer penalties on illegal gambling./PN
