BACOLOD City – The Municipal Health Office (MHO) of Cauayan, Negros Occidental earned the ire of netizens. One MHO official social media page administrators made rude remarks to an inquiring individual via Facebook Messenger.
In a social media post, Enkei James Perono Salvacion bared a screenshot showing the local health office supposedly dissing a resident who asked where he could get a special pass to travel back and forth between Cauayan and this capital city.
The Cauayan MHO immediately issued a statement apologizing for the unprofessional handling of the query.
“We apologize sincerely to the public, and will take action on the mistake done,” the post stated.
The MHO is also asking for understanding as the office is currently busy attending to other health programs aside from the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
Town mayor John Rey Tabujara also ordered an investigation.
He hopes the incident will not happen again, Tabujara said./PN
