BACOLOD City – Two alleged operators of a drug den and eight individuals were nabbed in a sting operation in Barangay 6, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.
Authorities identified the alleged drug den maintainers as Antonio Despi and Roldan Cantero.
Aside from Despi and Cantero, eight alleged visitors to the drug den were also caught during the operation around 9:25 a.m. on Oct. 4.
They were Ricardo Rodriquez, 28; Arnel Solitario, 32; Joemar Manayon, 36; Jenefred Patatag; Jessie Alfon; Diomedes Broce; Alex Mabida, 35; Arvin Barbadillo, 38.
During the raid, operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and the police force of San Carlos City were able to seize 11 sachets of suspected shabu weighing about 20 grams valued at around P136, 000.
The suspects were detained in the lockup facility of the San Carlos City police station. Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against them./PN
