ILOILO City – A suspected drug pusher was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Lapayon, Leganes, Iloilo.
The 54-year-old Ariel Canapit was a resident of Barangay Talaba, Badiangan, Iloilo, police said.
An undercover officer initially bought from Canapit a sachet of suspected shabu for P20,000.
Five more sachets of the prohibited substance valued at around P60,000 were recovered during Canapit’s arrest around 8:20 p.m. on Nov. 24.
The suspect was detained in the Leganes police station lockup facility.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against him./PN
