IBAJAY, Aklan – A 46-year-old woman was arrested in Barangay Poblacion. Policemen said she was soliciting bets for the illegal numbers game bookies.
Babeth Seneris of Barangay Rizal, Ibajay was taken to the municipal police station.
Cops recovered from her P2,900 cash and gambling paraphernalia.
Seneris was subsequently charged with violation of Presidential Decree 1602 that outlaws illegal gambling.
Police said the bookies’ results were based on the winning numbers of the legal numbers game EZ2 Lotto of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office./PN
