ILOILO City – In Barangay Baje, Leon, Iloilo, a 53-year-old man allegedly stabbed his mother to death.
The 83-year-old Benedicta Cabangbang died of multiple stab wounds, a police report showed.
Her son, Jose, was tagged the suspect, the report added.
From what the Leon police gathered so far, Jose was believed to be suffering from a nervous breakdown. He allegedly attacked Benedicta with a knife around 3 p.m. on Dec. 19.
Responding cops were able to arrest the suspect. They took him in custody for filing of appropriate charges./PN
