BACOLOD City – A drinking spree in Barangay Banga, Candoni, Negros Occidental led to the fatal stabbing of a 60-year-old man.
Francisco Doria, a resident of the village, bore stab wounds on different parts of the body, a police report showed. He was rushed to the Rural Health Unit of Candoni where the attending physician declared him “dead on arrival.”
Doria’s neighbor, 60-year-old Samson Baladhay, was tagged the suspect.
Prior to the stabbing, both were drinking alcoholic beverage around 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 28.
According to the police, the knife-wielding Baladhay attacked Doria during a heated argument.
Baladhay turned himself in to the Candoni municipal police station. Charges will be filed against him./PN
