BACOLOD City – Suspected shabu valued at around P374,000 was confiscated in a buy-bust operation in Barangay 6, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental.
Jessie James Magaso, 34, and his 31-year-old brother, Gemon, yielded the prohibited substance, police said.
The Magasos allegedly sold a sachet of shabu to a poseur-buyer for P500.
Also seized from them were cash which amounted to P19,500 and drug paraphernalia.
Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and the Kabankalan police force staged the entrapment around 2:20 p.m. on Jan. 15.
The suspects were detained and charged with violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
