BACOLOD City – A man was arrested for illegal possession of firearm in Barangay Oringao, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental.
The 33-year-old Shem Alfonso yielded a .357- caliber revolver loaded with 14 live bullets around 6:45 p.m. on Jan. 30, a police report showed.
Alfonso’s apprehension was staged on the strength of a search warrant issued by Judge Rodney Magbanua of the Regional Trial Court Branch 61.
Alfonso was detained in the lockup facility of the Kabankalan City police station, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act./PN
