BACOLOD City – A retired teacher was shot to death by an unidentified gunman along the national highway in Barangay Haguimit, La Carlota City, Negros Occidental.
Police identified the fatality as 64-year-old resident Irvi Ramos.
The incident happened around 7:20 p.m. on May 12.
According to the police, the victim was homebound together with his cousin when attacked.
The victim was rushed to the Don Salvador Benedicto Memorial District Hospital but the attending physician declared him “dead on arrival.”
Recovered from the crime scene were three fired cartridge cases of a .45-caliber pistol and a deformed fired bullet.
As of this writing, police have yet to identify the gunman./PN
