ILOILO City – A farmer was shot dead in Barangay Jayubo, Lambunao, Iloilo.
Nielex Legarda was a 38-year-old resident of the village.
Two suspects have been named: Jekjek Legarda, 22, and Ernesto Legarda, 64. But as of this writing, they were at large.
The shooting happened around 6 a.m. on May 20.
According to the police, the victim was planting eggplants in his farm when attacked using a 12-gauge shotgun./PN
