BACOLOD City – Fourteen drug suspects were arrested in two separate anti-drug operations in Barangay 5, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.
Police operatives confiscated about 17 grams of suspected shabu worth P183,600 in these operations around 12:30 p.m. and 12:50 p.m. on June 13 on Hope Street and San Juan Tunga, respectively.
Arrested on Hope Street were Jemar Flores, 22; Renald Rabaca, 31; Raymund Rabaca, 31; Rodeto Mayagma, 56; Gilbert Cabaluna, 50; and Restituto Descatiar, 27.
Recovered from them were 20 sachets of suspected shabu and other drug paraphernalia.
In San Juan Tunga, police caught Joelito Gumilao, 48; JR Elladora, 18; Efren Paubsanon, 36; Michael Bacus, 26; Gilbert Ulleyege, 42; George Eñeres, 41; Eugene Malinao, 34; and Junrey Cabellon, 35.
Eight sachets were confiscated from them, police said.
The suspects were taken to the San Carlos City police station. Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, would be filed against them.
