BACOLOD City – A 59-year-old man was shot dead by riding-in-tandem assailants in Canetown Subdivision, Victorias City, Negros Occidental.
The fatality, Danilo Toreña of the city’s Barangay 19-A, died on the spot, according to Police Lieutenant Colonel Eduardo Corpuz, chief of police.
Toreña was onboard his motorcycle around 6:30 a.m. on June 28 when attacked, he added.
Five empty shells of a .9mm-caliber pistol were recovered from the crime scene.
Corpuz said Toreña was tagged as Victorias City’s No. 1 drug suspect.
