ROXAS City – Operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Region 6 entrapped a gunrunning suspect in Sitio Calubihan, Barangay Tanque, here.
Johny Helario alias “Armstrong” was a 53-year-old construction worker and resident of Barangay Tanque.
He was arrested after handing over a .38 revolver (without serial number) to a police poseur buyer for P3,000 on June 30.
Cops also seized two live ammunition for the .38 revolver and the marked money used in the entrapment.
Upon further body search, the suspect also yielded four heat-sealed plastic sachets containing suspected shabu valued at P8,000 and a lighter.
The inventory of the recovered items was witnessed by officials of Barangay Tanque.
Helario was brought to CIDG Capiz office for proper documentation and disposition prior to the filing of charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act./PN
