ILOILO City – Nine persons were arrested for alleged illegal gambling in Barangay Calumpang, Molo district.
Police identified them as Noel Magdael, Melvin Cordova, Julius Ballon, Rene Santiago, Franklin Aguilar, and Peter Paul Gaser, all residents of Zone 1, Barangay Calumpang.
Others were Renante Magbanua Jr. of Barangay Flores here, Josifino Magbanua of Barangay Rizal Estanzuela and Arnold Alavanzas of Barangay Veterans Village.
The suspects were caught playing pusoy around 11:45 p.m. on July 12, police said.
Cops recovered P2,500 bet money and gambling paraphernalia.
