ILOILO City – A tricycle driver was arrested in a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Divinagracia, La Paz district.
Five sachets of suspected shabu valued at P156,000 were recovered from 37-year-old Raclen Escobar, a police report showed.
An undercover officer initially bought from the suspect a sachet for P12,100 around 3:30 p.m. on July 14.
According to the police, Escobar later denied owning the recovered drugs.
The suspect – resident of Barangay Ingore, La Paz – was detained at the La Paz police station. Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 would be filed against him./PN
