BACOLOD City – The Department of Health (DOH) already released the special risk allowance for frontline healthcare workers in Negros Occidental.
Among those entitled to the hazard pay were hospital workers, personnel of the Provincial Health Office, disaster risk reduction and management office personnel, and quarantine workers,
Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz said the amount of allowance would depend on the computation of the health frontliners’ duty hours.
The special allowance is part of the funds allocated by the DOH “for workers who are risking their lives in the line of their duty” amid the coronavirus disease pandemic.
Meanwhile, Diaz said, the vaccination of all those under the A1 category or frontline health workers in the province is nearly complete./PN
