BACOLOD City – A village watchman was hospitalized following a shooting in Barangay Quezon, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.
Police identified the victim as Cesario Villafuerte, 57, a resident of the village.
A suspect has been named – 23-year-old Benjamin Quirante.
The shooting happened around 11 p.m. on Aug. 25.
According to the police, Villafuerte was assisting a friend over a theft incident when shot.
Villafuerte, who sustained a wound on the forehead, was taken to the San Carlos City Hospital.
Police said the suspect remained at large./PN
