BACOLOD City – Ninety-eight percent of the military force in Negros Island have been vaccinated against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

As of Sept. 18, 99 percent of the 303rd Infantry Brigade (303IB) personnel have been fully vaccinated; 79th Infantry Battalion – 99 percent fully vaccinated; and 62nd Infantry Battalion – 95 percent fully vaccinated. They received Sinovac, AstraZeneca and Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines.

The 303IB and its line battalions were also conducting information and education campaigns on vaccination.

“Your Army in Negros remains ready to serve our people. The availability of the vaccines is a welcome development and being vaccinated is an opportunity,” said Brigadier General Inocencio Pasaporte, 303IB commander./PN
