BACOLOD City – A resident of Medellin town in Cebu was arrested on Monday in Barangay Campo Himoga-an, Sagay City, Negros Occidental.
Forty-four-year-old Renato Apable was charged with theft (two counts) and violation of Republic Act 7610, or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act (two counts).
Police served him two arrest warrants around 2:45 p.m.
The courts recommended a P200,000 bail bond for his child abuse rap, and P6,000 each count for his theft charge.
The suspect was put under custody of the Sagay City police station, waiting for his transfer to Cebu province./PN
