CAPIZ – The Department of Health (DOH) here is urging parents to register their kids who have comorbidities for vaccination against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
Joeffrey Espiritu, DOH-Capiz development management officer, said parents may register their kids aged 12 to 17 years old in their respective localitie while the DOH regional office is waiting for the operating guidelines for pediatric vaccination.
Earlier, DOH announced that the vaccination for children 12 to 17 years old will start with those with comorbidities. They will belong to Priority Group A3.
Expansion beyond this group will follow once adequate coverage of the A2 priority group (senior citizens) has been achieved nationwide and vaccine supply becomes sufficient to include children.
